Power Supply Module(s)
The Power Supply Module is a switching type power supply which accepts an ac or dc input (depending upon option) and generates the necessary dc operating voltages for the station modules. Various different power supply modules are available for either single or dual power supplies, depending upon your station(s) requirements.
Reference Module with UHSO or HSO (optional)
The Reference Module outputs a stable 5 MHz signal that is used as station frequency standard. This allows the station to operate under more stringent stability constraints than is achievable by the Nucleus Advanced Control Module (NAC) internal 16.8 MHz reference. Reference Module usage and resident oscillator choice Ultra High Stability Oscil¬lator (UHSO) or High Stability Oscillator (HSO) is normally dictated by system performance requirements, including band of operation, modulation, simulcast constraints, and maintenance schedule.
